Lucid Touch, Lucid Weight

Sept 24-27

and/or

Nov 5-8

Charlottesville, VA

Two intensive four-day workshops in

Contact Improvisation with:

Martin Keogh

and

Brad Stoller

You are invited to deepen your investigation and understanding of Contact Improvisation Š to find new pathways, skills, and ease, as you dance into an awake and responsive body.

In these workshops we will explore:

* Movement thatÕs both organized and released

*  A supple and resilient responsiveness through our fascia and tissue

*  Practice at the edge of our skills: lifting, supporting, yielding, etc.

*  A visceral appreciation for the spiral

*  An ability to see and venture into the backspace

*  Putting words to our experience

*  A greater capacity for sensation, risk, and pleasure

Join us in good company. Together we use bodywork, games, some sweat, and the skills and thrills of the form to encourage lucidity in our dancing.

Lucidity: clear, penetrating, confident, relaxed, far reaching, precise.

Level: For those with an understanding of Contact Improvisation fundamentals.

Sliding scale for one or both workshops:
